LobosStyle Blades
Well-Known Member
Hello all, I recently finished another carving set. This one is a dedication for a wedding that is upcoming. Luckily they don't follow here so I can finally post it somewhere. The only thing I'd change if I could is that the font on the 2 "LobosStyle" is different on each pieces. The handle on the knife is the second one as the first was damaged and I had to redo it.
This was my first attempt at a press fitting on a guard/bolster as well. A bit more difficult than expected.
Steel: 440C 57-58hrc
Furnishings: 6065 aluminum with black vulcanized paper spacer
Handle: Inlaced Acrylester - cherry cheesecake
Electrolytic etching done in house and made my own stencils....design took FOREVER to get right.
Box: Alder (rough made by friend). Finished in house with gel stain and oil finish. Supports are pine with a felt to protect the blade. The latch is actually a leather satchel clasp that I modified for this.
Hope you like. Critiques welcome.
