Circular saw blade for the kitchen...

I made an office knife of a circular saw blade. Heat treatment was similar as for O1 steel and resulted in hardness of 61 HRC.

It is evil sharp :)
Hope you like it...

Wow, very interesting! I have many lying around from my business. How did you go about cutting it in the first place, meaning did you need to anneal the entire blade before you shaped it. Also, how did you determine what HT procedures to use. Man, this is a great idea and I would have myself some free materials, brilliant! Thanks, Piedpiper.

Thank you!

I cut the shape with the angle grinder and the detailed shape with the belt grinder. The circular saw blades are not very hard. Just about 45 - 50 RC. You can cut and grind this steel very good. No need to anneal this steel.

HT is like O1 or O2 steel. Very good results with fine grain. Very sharp with a high edge retention.
