I'm new here and (I believe) this is my first post. I'm also new to knife-making in general.
I'm currently using a Coote 2x72 grinder with a 10" wheel. It's a very solid machine, but it lacks some of the functions/accessories of higher-end grinders. I've been thinking of upgrading, but I'm also looking at modifying the Coote instead.
It seems like such a 'blank canvas' that you could do quite a bit of customization. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience fabricating/machining.
If y'all have any suggestions, pictures of mods, accessories you've added, I'd love to get some ideas. I love to be able to tilt the machine easier, maybe add a flat grinding attachment, or...?
