CPM 3V Combat Tanto

This was a fun one that a local friend fell in love with. He loaned me 1000 rounds of high-quality .40 S&W reloads to use as a background and I used both his and I's .45 caliber photographer's props as well. Grips on the Taurus are from customkillergrips.com. It turned out quite well.

5.75" CPM 3V blade, 45 micron/scotchbrite finish with acid wash, .190 thick, 10.25" overall.
304 and 303 stainless bolsters and Corby bolts.
.060 Grey G10 liners and black linen micarta handle scales, 40 grit finish over the center of the scales for a sure grip and a satin finish elsewhere.
Tan Kydex with 3/32 fiber spacer liner, double thick 9 ounce leather retainer paddle, binding posts and industrial contact cement
Horizontally mounted Tek-Lok.

A great deal of the parts on this and the abrasives were from usaknifemaker, thanks again Tracy. This CPM 3V with the 900 degree temper is totally off the hook for edge durability even with this knife being somewhat finer ground, .030 prior to sharpening. I chopped a 2x4 in half after sharpening with a worn 15 micron and then buffing, cut some old tow rope, and under magnification the edge is still pristine. It will still pop hair...I am impressed.
