Cutting antler/stag into scales

I have used the search button in this forum and scoured the Internet for this info, but have come up empty.

I've learned that a bandsaw in conjunction with a "sled" can be used to accomplish this task.

Try as I might, I can't grasp the written word on how to build this "sled"!

A picture is worth a 1,000 words, anybody have one? Thanks for any help!

Don't remember who posted it, but you might search through the last year or two of posts in WIP forum. Someone was mixing up a dab of bondo, putting a piece of plastic wrap over it, the pressing the antler into it. When cured, the antler is captured in bondo and the bondo was on a flat board, so you could slice off slabs.

Thanks for the link! Having never used a hot glue gun, does it come with the proper glue, or, do I need something different. Thanks.
