Deer Crown Skinner & Sheath

Starting to get back into making sheaths for my knives and actually starting to enjoy it.

Forged the little blade out of 1084 I had purchased for Aldo when he first became the NJ Steel Baron. The little blade is 3 1/2", a wrought iron thing and then the deer crown handle. The knife is right at 8" overall.

Looks good Ray! Is the intention of that ricasso design to use it as a finger swell if you want to choke up on the handle or just 'cause it looks cool?

I did put the indents there so you can choke up on the blade plus every great knife design needs a gimmick.

I'm a sucker for a good gimmick! And I like being able to choke up on a knife. Every now and then in really comes in handy.
