Disc Cutter, sheet metal ?

Any body use a disc cutter? I need one but there are so many available from $40 to hundreds of $'s.

I'd like to cut nickel silver in the .030 thickness from about 1" and smaller.

I have never used one, hate to buy too little or too much.

Mark, a lot of the disc cutters out there are for thin and non-ferrous metals. Make sure that the disc cutter you chose is for ferrous metals. The disc cutters I use will only work for up to 22ga well and up to 16ga. with a hydraulic press, and this has only been with non-ferous metals. ...Teddy

This will work on thin stuff, it's cheap and no guarantees on how long it will last.
I used one on 1/8" steel for a forge door.....it just made the cut then folded up. The cutters worked OK and I still use them as scribes.

Teddy- Hadn't thought of using one with a press, good idea I'll narrow my search.
