Hope it goes well for you Liam. I'm sure your in good hands. These type of injuries suck hard. A wise man learns from others mistakes. I have done a bunch of stuff I should not have done when I was younger. Listen to the doctors they are your best chance at healing properly.
 
I'm off the painkillers now, it still hurts but it's bearable so I don't fancy drugging myself up unnecessarily. I haven't had any beer for almost three months I think, save for half a pint the night before the operation. I think I'll be fine without it for another few months.
