Elmax Stainless

Has anyone ever used any Elmax stainless for blades? What are the pros and cons of the stuff. A friend gave me a piece, but I really don't know much about it. Thanks

Do a seach Tom, there was a thread here awhile back where a bunch of people tried some Elmax. I hear it's pretty good stuff.

great steel, hard to hand finish, but good stuff.

I actually just got my piece if Elmax from the raffle here back from heat treating. Got the finish grind done on it yesterday going to grip it today. So far I am loving this steel. After it's all done and I beat the snot out of it, I'm going to post photos and a full review. But yeah, so far it is way, way good to go.

I have been super impressed with all the Bohler steels I've used. Their M4 and A11 mods are incredible!!
