Glad to see you put the grind on the correct side for a righty. Some in the Tactical crowd make lefties so you can see there scary logo when you hold it in your right hand.

I annealed the entire rasp, cut it out and ground it then re heat treated it , I think its W1 because it would not harden in oil, quenched it in water and it hardened right up. This one was an OLD "superior brand" rasp, the Bellota rasps I have behaved like 1095 and would harden in oil.
