first butcher knife and first set of bolsters!!

forged 5160, 9 in OAL
hand finished to 800 grit
brass bolsters and pins with maple handle
this one was pretty cool to make, learned alot about bolsters and some new stuff about pins. I think this is knife number 10, to tired to think tonight. thanks for looking:steve:

Great looking knife, that would look good on my cutting board! Love the long bolsters.
 
Really nice job on the bolsters. Overall package is nice as well. I like the 3rd photo utilizing the seasoned firewood.
 
Thanks for all the kind words guys. I got two more orders this week, hope this doesn't start a butcher knife trend for me, I like making knives for outdoor uses alot more. Thanks again. Danny
