I want to say thanks to all the contributors here on the forums as I have learned a lot reading all the great post and tutorials here.
Hat's off to all that are willing to help others.
A Rawhide sheath that I made for my forged camp knife that I finished a few days ago. This is my first forged knife and my first rawhide sheath. I used John Cohea's rawhide sheath tutorial for guidance on the sheath.
The brain tanned buckskin fringe is from the hide of a deer that my son took last year and I tanned the hide using the primitive way. I made lye from white oak wood ashes and used the brains of the deer to tan the hide.
I used Fiebing's Antique Leather Stain in Saddle Tan to stain the rawhide, stitched with dark brown waxed Nyltex.
