First Knives

I made these first two for my kids and another one for me that is still underway. The blades are from usa knives. The handles are Ca Claro Walnut finished with boiled linseed oil mixed with a little shellac. I had a local leathersmith make the sheaths.

Still educating myself on the whole process, including photographing the end result!

I have a few other knives underway. Once I get the handle part down I'll try my hand at the blades.

Looking good - knife making is a LOTS of fun, and when somebody wants to actually pay money for one of your knifes, that's a real ego trip {G}..... for me anyway.
