First shot at damascus

I just finished this new blade for my EDC folder out of a piece of Alabama Damascus. I picked up some FC from radioshack tonight and stunk up the house with it. The wife was fussing at me

Anyway here's what I came up with. I think it looks pretty good.

This steel was very much in question and still is really, but we'll see how it holds up. Here's a thread with more info:

Looks good to me , too . I have had no problem with Brad Vice's Damascus & it sure etches as weii as any I have ever used.

Nice looking blade for sure , I have used alabama damascus before I started making my own , I will say it seems to hold up real nicely. They use a lot of 52100 which I believe is some of the best overall knife steel around.
