Here is some pics of my first slipjoint.. The liners are made of an old stainless steel ruler, brass bolsters, scales are homemade t-shirt/polyester resin, blade and spring made of an old file. Did the heat treatment in my living room; heated in the wood burner, quenched in water. Tempered with a blow torch.
As you can tell from the pics it's far from perfect..; the pivot pins are visible in the bolster, the pins for the scales and spring have different sizes, the blade still shows some scratches, voids in the soldering of the bolsters. I learned a lot from the build process, so hopefully my next slipjoints will be better!
