Frame Handle Bowie for the OKCA show

Well I finally have one done

Forged from 1075 steel
Clay quenched
13" overall 8" blade, .220" at the ricasso
Frame handle with carved and textured african blackwood scales
Guard and buttcap sculpted from my own damascus
Coined collars in guard and buttcap
Blued steel finial

Full take down construction.

What a beautiful job!! Great work John.

P.S. Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "Frame Handle"? A highly skeletonized tang to which handle materials are attached with pins/bolts?
