free photo editing software

I just discovered a free photo editing program called GIMP I'm still in the process of figguring it out but so far seems like a realy decent program for everything I need it to do.
here's a sample of what I was able to put together, took me about an hour but now that I know how to do it wont take me nearly as long next time.

GIMP may be one of the best freebies out there.

Yep I love it, I purchased a new laptop awhile ago and could not load my Photoshop and a friend told me about Gimp.
Been using it ever since.
