Here's one headed to the MKA show with me next weekend. A Bird and trout with stabilized green box elder burl, mother of pearl accents and thorny vine filework.

1/8" 1080, edge quenched and etched
8 1/4" overall, 3 3/4" cutting edge

Comments welcome.

Thanks for the comments. I've had good feedback on this one from folks that have seen it in person too.

I tried some of the green stuff recently and liked it. Your knife looks fantastic. It has very nice lines.

Very nice! That would be a great design even without the special materials and techniques... kind of like a good rock or country song. If it doesn't work with just a singer and guitar or piano, no amount of production or extra flourishes is going to make it a hit.

The filework, MOP, etched edge-quench line and gorgeous wood add style and beauty without being overwhelming to the eye. It's a great example of how to make a knife "custom" without being gaudy. Homerun!

Very nice John! Looks great. We don't see many knives with handles in the Green family. The Pearl decks it out well!! Nice Hamon too.
