green paint on SS bar?

Hello all - I've got a SS bar that I "think" I ordered a while back as 416SS - it's not marked, but there is green paint on end. I've got a couple other 416 SS rods with green paint. I know sometimes the type of metal can be marked with paint - is green commonly used for 416SS?

The SS bar is magnetic - so it's not 304/316.

Yep,it's 416.
