Heres three videos of my second grinder. Each video is of a different attachment. The motor is a dawg but will have to do until something else free and better comes up. The wooden wheels run great. Sorry bout the messy shop......I have been busy:D

Looks like it tracks good. The wood wheels work ....2thumbs

One of the reasons I wanted to show this video was to show how smooth it ran even with the wooden wheels. The sticker shock of building a grinder might be turning some people off. The wheels , motor and attachments can all be upgraded if needed or desired. I have very little money in this machine.
The pulleys were my big cost but I felt I needed them.

What is that small wheel attachment look like a bicycle hub? I like it

Yes it's a bike Hub. I used the forks as the holder and just welded them to the bar of steel.
I have been using the same hub for about a year now with out problems with bearings. The only problem with the hub is there isn't room for the tracking to be off. If a j flex belt tracks off it ruins the edge of the belt. I fixed this by just using belts split in half. I have a piece of red airline glued to the hub for cusion.

Shank, I like what you've done with your grinder. It shows that with a little forethought and ingenuity a fellow can get started making knives without spending a fortune on equipment.

shank, can you tell me more about that small wheel attachment? I really need one but dont have $100, exactly how did you make those forks work and whats the small wheel made of?

Good doin's Shank !!! Get there any way you can, and you ARE !!! Masking tape will work super for crowning a whell or giving it some softness. It will last for years for crowning. Frank
