Hello Everyone,
I finally finished this one, and I got some pics from Coop. The blade is 80crv2, O1, and 15N20. It is 3 parts to 1.5 parts to 1 part, in that order. The blade is made of 3 twisted bars (with 9 layers each), and one piled bar. The very edge is 80cr2.
The OAL is 23.5"
blade = 18.5"
handle + guard = 5.5" (the numbers don't add up to the total length because the blade is set .5" into the guard, in the traditional style for messers).
There is no sheath or by-knife for this. However, I have a good bit of the parent bar left that I will throw in, if the buyer wants to make a by-knife or a partner blade.
This one costs $1,200, plus shipping.
