Hello,
i wanted to shear this idea i had a while ago,
when i hand rubb a blade i usually fix it to place using c clamps, and i have to flip sides and go all the way from 220 to around 2000grit, and thats allot of unscrewing, fliping, screwing,
so this is my solution, a door lock electromagnet (about 30$) with a switch fixed to a piece of wood.

thanks for looking.

Looks like it would work well!
For the C-Clamp crowd,
I've found that a old bread cutting board works great and has a handle already on it! and .50 cents at a yard sale.
I started out this way because I didn't have any scrap wood or a wood saw when I started knife finishing.

Good thinking.
I'll have to reconsider what goes into the dumpster on our commercial rehab jobs. I've seen a lot of those go into the dumpster. Now that I'm thinking....I could use a small magnetic table on my mill.

Thanks,
Rudy

I'm not sure it would be strong enough for a mill, mine is suposed to hold up to 280kilo but i can disconnect it if i try hard enough, maybe if you'll get a few stronger ones it would hold
