Hardness tester

Hello to everyone,
Just a quick question. Has anyone used a hardness tester called “PHR-1”. It looks sort of like micrometer in a bench stand. I am limited on space. Any thoughts? Thanks folks

That's the one I use and I love it. I have a small shop and no room for a bench top tester, so I did some research and found this one. It works great and I don't have to dedicate bench space.

I bought this awhile back. Came with calibration samples and it read right on the money. Got a great deal on it.

I have an old Ames tester also, looks like the same model you have, Randy.
It works great, calibration is spot on, and it takes very little room.
Damn thing is older than I am, and I'm not young.
I think the PHR is a knock off of the Ames, or at least very similar.
