Has anyone heard of this McEarl guy???

I recently bought a few knives at a craft show, and one was marked McEarl and DCF. I've searched and searched for this maker, but have not been able to track him down. I heard from someone that he apprenticed under a Glen Avaritt from Arkansas, but have not heard much else. I really like the knife and would like to find this guy. Anyone know anything about him?? Thanks for the help. First time posting (be gentle!!!)
