I wore out the auto transmission in my 2002 Chevy 2500 HD, 215,000 miles so while it is being rebuilt my wife let me drive her 69 Camaro.

Well,
Things could be worse! LOL.
Nice looking Chevy, I don't fit in them though, Not enough head room! Now The Ford Mustang I fit in just fine!
Especially a 65 or 67 .. I love Chevy Trucks, never should have sold my 55 1/2 ton with a 7' box.

Calvin, my '03 2500HD has the Duramax/Allison and is at 175k. Is yours the diesel as well?

Mine is a 496 cubic inch gasoline engin with the Allison trans, this is the only trouble I've had with it,like I said it's got 215,000 miles on it and I've done a lot of towing.

Thanks...looking for some first-hand accounts about the durability. It's been a great truck for 5 years now...mostly highway and towing miles myself.

I love camaro's. This is my '79 Z28 as I was leaving a car show last year.

My favorite car is my 1938 Chevy Coupe.
This is not a very good picture of the car but was taken after I won my second consecutive Old Dragracers Reunion in Panama City, Florida.

Cool Calvin , I used to race a little . Back in the 60 -70S I had a 68 Hemi cuda , blueprinted 426 putting out about 1500 hp . It sure was a lot of fun . I raced at alton speedway near St Louis . And a few times at St louis international speedway . Man that was the good ol days. Thanks for bringing back some memories..... Bubba-san

Wow Bubba, that was a cool car! What kind of ET's and MPH did you run?
My car will run the 1/4 in 9 second @ 150 MPH, that was before I added the nitrous oxide system. I bracket raced 1/8 mile mostly.

I still wish I had that baby , its worth a fortune now I expect. I ran in a A modified bracket . when it was stock it would turn 11s after engine and gear modifications , My best time in 1/4 mile was around 8.09 at at 175 mph . Now those same cars are turning 5-6 sec. of course my car was slightly stripped full bodied car , the new ones are fiberglass . sure was a lot of fun ... Bubba YEA.......

Go to an NHRA race and walk through the pitts, the stock and super stock pitts are full of those cars along with camaros and chevelles and mustangs.

That would be nice , I havent been to a track in years . I saw one like mine but ,stock from factory clean as it could be .It was on the car auction At barretts .... It went for 350,000 $ Also saw a 68 road runner mint hemi bench seats and all 2nd one made. It went for over 650,000 .
Amazing what they sell for when very clean . Hey, if we knew then what we know know .... we would be very wealthy. I n 1968 I paid 3500$ for the Cuda ........ it was lime green.
