help ! soldering 416 stainless guard to 154cm

I posted this earlier I think its better served here

I been working on a blade and normally I do not use stainless for guards because I can not get it to flow and fill, I have no problem soldering nickle silver, using staybrite silver solder and staybrite flux, have a jewelers torch with oxy/acet, squeaky clean rinse with actone, polished and a tight fit, any one know the trick ? tried several fluxs with no luck.
 
You might try to tig the back side, but I doubt you will get anything to solder to stainless. I too have tried just about everything in the course of general shop work when working with stainless. I guess it's pins, or pins...
That being said, I have a client who manufactures stainless restaurant equipment and he uses some high tech adhesive to bond stainless as welding warps stainless.
