How do I fix this?

I heat treated this AEB-L prior to grinding, hand sanded the ricasso area and along the spine with 1000 grit sand paper to get rid of the heat treat discoloration and somehow missed this. It's only noticeable (or more noticeable) in certain lighting and angle. I ordered some ceramic media the other day so I guess I could try this one as my first stonewashed blade if there are no other options.

Can't you just sand it off with paper? You may have to drop down a grit or two but that shouldn't take long at all.

Yeah put some sandpaper on a flat surface and rub the knife blade on it to keep the surface flat.
it should rub out faster than you think.

To keep them even, you may have to sand the same amount off of both sides if it's very deep. Did your SS packet leak? Maybe that was damage from some scale?

It's not a scratch, it's the discoloration from the heat treat. The foil was triple folded so I don't think the packets leaked. This is what they looked like out of the foil.
