I found your forum a few days ago and joined right away. I've been putting together knives for a bunch of years. Mostly finished blanks like the Damascus Sheffield Bowie from Damascus USA. The "neck knife" is one I started over thirty years ago. I had a guy cut the basic shape out of a huge piece of 5/16ths tempered Stainless steel. Took me this long to gather the correct tools and where with all to finish. As I said the blade is 5/16ths thick and the entire knife is 15 inches with a 10 inch blade and it weighs a little over 2 1/4 lbs.
