i got wood question

i just purchase some wood from gomike. real nice thanks.. any way how do you get it stabilized? do you send it to some one or just soak it in a sealer of some kind? i know nooby question but hey i am a NOOB
 
There are several different methods. First if it is a relatively hard wood to begin with, you can get a product called Nelsonite. This will seal the wood but not feel like plastic. If it is a softer wood then I would recommend sending it off to K&G or WSSI. I tried many different processes and even made a pressure pot. The cost of set-up would have paid to have a lifetime supply of wood done by the pro's. I wound up just having them do it anyway so I am out 2x the $$.
