Where do you guys buy your counterbores from for IKBS?
I know Tracey used to sell one but not anymore.

I've been having a look over here in the UK and can't find anything thats suitable!

Do you use solid carbide, carbide tipped or HSS?

Also, what size pivot pin do you think works better with IKBS? 1/8" or 3/16"?

Thanks!!

Thanks. :)

Now just trying to work out what shipping to the UK will be. Not easy info to find there!!

Ive been using the one from McMaster 3102A13 with 3103A13 pilot for quite some time. I opted the carbide tip for longevity, but I have heard you can get quite a bit of use out the HSS ones as well. There are many sources you can find these at, but not sure about UK.

As for 3/16" or 1/8" depends on size of knife and how much realestate you need. I primarily build larger flippers 3.25" blade and up so the 3/16" pivot is all I use. For a smaller knife say 2.75" blade and down going to a 1/8" pivot with IKBS would be fine. I have built a couple one-off knives with a smaller blade and they fire very well with the IKBS.
