In need of 1" contact wheels

Check out a dude named Ewing, 81 engineering or something, i had him make me some a while back. Australian dude, but with the exchange they were quite cheap.

Matthew - I think the problem is the OP is looking for a 1" contact type type wheel which would mount the same as a 10" contact wheel via a single bolt to the tool arm. Most 1" size wheels are of the "small wheel" type that uses a special "small wheel" holder.

You have a 1/2" diameter wheel that takes a 4" wide belt? I'd guess you use 2"X72 belts? I guess I'm having a hard time visualizing a 1/2" diameter on a 3/4" arbor. I looked at the Bader website and they don't have much info at all.... wait, that was with Chrome web browser. I just tried Firefox and it works a LOTS better. Now I can see how they are setup. Totally different the KMG and other "standard" small wheel attachments. Seems like I remember Bader used a special method on their wheels.

It will depend on which grinder the OP has - or perhaps Bader can custom make to fit other grinders rather than their own?

OOops - my goof. You're right, he did say "1X4" which would be 1" wide and 4" diameter. For some reason I focused on the 1" thinking diameter.

Matthew - I have to ask how you use that 1/2" wide wheel? Does a belt just "curl" around the wheel allowing you to grind finger grooves the same as using a small wheel? I see how the 3/4" arbor works, that would be no problem at all.

I really don't use the wheel for contact, much, but it provides for a large slack area underneath between it an the drive wheel, with minimal support for the sides of the belt so they curl out of the way. It's a technique that RJ Martin showed me.

Very interesting...
