Is this pricing good?

Great price. I noticed he'd heat treat the bar for only 10 bucks more. How in the heck do you heat treat an 8 or 9 ft bar of 5160 for only ten bucks?

The grandson of the founder is my neighbor. His cousin Bill is now the owner. They have lots of scrap and used to sell it on Saturdays for $25. for all you could carry out in one load. Their shop is at the edge of a fast growing hi-rise area and the property is probably worth millions, maybe even more than the business is worth. I made 8 new style Kinyon hammers and they made the springs to spec including the bronze bushings for a little over $60. ea. Good folks to deal with.
