Jigged Bone Hunter

Here's a basic little hunter with jigged bone handle just finished. It's just a runt at 6 5/8" with 3" cutting edge.

Thanks Chris. When I first started I was advised by a well known Master Smith to practice on small knives. They really helped me hone my basic skills and I still find myself doing them when my shop time is limited.

That's a nice size knife and well executed. I think some makers take the small thing too far though- been to shows were guys have tables full of what looks like highly crafted paring knives with mammoth tooth handles, etc. which are too small to handle much of anything.
