Just finished , not sure what to call it, 8'' blade , 1095,brass guard and stabilized teak burl handle . I have a sister blade that I hope to finish by the end of the week

very nice wood. Is that an edge quench hamon? Or a clay coat? I would call it a nice hunter.

The knife is what it is. You could classify it by it's design elements. Some might say it's a fighter. I'd call it well made.
