So I posted in sharpening about the system and didn't seam to generate much response.Anyway I have been using it and today rather then setting the first edge on a fresh blade with my grinder I used the KME and got exceptional results. It of coarse took longer but I sat at the kitchen table drinking coffee and enjoying my beautiful wife's company and didn't have any oops moments .I used the diamond stones and finished up with a strop and have a keen scary sharp edge .

Well, you'll be even happier if you use also some coolant on the stones. Oil on the diamond and water on the whetstones.
Approaching the edge without generating heat is slower, but certainly very rewarding. I don't use those kind of systems, but just the stones.
With a little pratice the human hand will learn very well how to keep the desired angles....i also find useful a big coarse diamond stone to remove the bulk steel in the first dark stages, those that make us think to use just a little bit of grinder
