knives 2 and 3

These were just finished. Made from old Nicholson farriers rasps. I worked on making the handles a little more rounded this time. Red oak for the handles and brass pins. Heat treated by me in a brine quench. The top one is more of a "woods" type knife and the bottom is a better slicer. Let me know what you think.

Good use of old steel. Nice for your 2nd & 3rd ones. I like making knives out of rasps. Now where did I put that bucket of rasps for the move.
 
Thank you sir. That is primarily what I have worked with so far. We have horses and my father in law shoes horses as a side job. I have a decent supply of rasps. I feel like i am starting to get a little better or at least im not screwing up as much! I Iike the rasps but they at think and it takes some time to grind them down, especially on a full flat grind.
