Blame @J. Doyle. It was his idea.
My picture stories are about as random as my thoughts on love and wealth. Lots of volume, little value.
Here's Ol' Skip. He's providing the fire overwatch while the fire burns down. No squirrels, birds, balls, or neighbor dogs infiltrated the operation under his keen gaze.
We are cooked on genuine hickory wood. I've been plotting on smoked Italian beef for some time. So I threw this little chuck roast on to get flavored up good, and will finish in the crock pot. Since it's burning, thick cut pork chops for supper.
After the chuck got some time on the cool end, the chops go on with a little seasoning.
Now at this time, as loyal as Ol' Skip is, and dedicated to ensuring lasting security around the shop and yard, he is not to be trusted with the meats. I'm fairly certain he could handle a chuck in 3 bites. Enter Rocket, the porch cat. She is apparently displeased with my lower leg, as she attacked it repeatedly.

Things were finished up good when the sun started getting low. Only the hand of the Lord Himself can paint such a beautiful thing.

A pair of them wood fired chops and a baked spud. They were delicious.
