Last minute Christmas gift.

Man all I can say is I'm beat. I have been busting it to try and get this knife done for my dad and I made it by the skin of my teeth!
The knife has taken on a different look from when I drew it up. Originally it was going to be a stacked leather handle. I had trouble with it so I decided to make a hidden tang walnut handle with g10 guard.
Never doing a hidden before it was challenging wish I could say it came out exactly how I wanted but I learned a bunch and ready to do another.
I know my dad will like it at least I hope. He has helped me out any time I needed and gave me his drill press and 1x42 when he found out I wanted to start making knives. He has been wanting one of my knives and tomorrow he will get one.

Sorry for the long post here it is.

That looks great to me! Sheath looks awesome too, he's going to love it. Now your other family members are going to jealous though.

Wow is a beautifully simple to the point knife. Im sure your dad will treasure it. Merry Christmas.

That looks great Justin. I see you've been working on your leather as well. Nice package together, I'm sure your father will be stoked.

Have a Merry Christmas my friend,
Chris

Great job Justin. I'm sure your Dad will be very happy, and very proud.

BTW, I can totally relate to the, learning a lot & it not coming out exactly as planned. The knife I'm working on right now has thrown me multiple curve balls, and isn't what I though it'd be. The good thing is that you were able to adapt and overcome, and still make a worthy knife.

Like the makers mark too.

Don

Dad was pretty happy with it when I gave it to him last night.
Chris I was trying hard on the sheath. I have some room for improvement but I rushed the crap out of it. The one thing that saved me was I spent a good amount of time planning and drawing up the design. I like how it turned out.
