That turned out very nice Op. I'm sure she will love it. I see there is no pin. You must drill holes and notch the heck out of it.
As I said in my original post I had issues with is one. I ended up putting a through pin in but left it counter sunk (if you will ) below the antler and used epoxy and antler dust to fill in the holes.
 
I’m not s sure a pin is really necessary for a small hidden tang knife. Thoughts?

I can't quite visualize this. How would you notch the tang? I don't see how notching the tang would help unless there is something to hold it. Is the epoxy going to flow into that notch to hold it?
Yes. You can warm the epoxy before adding the hardener (on cold days) so it flows freely and it will flow into all the notches in the tang for full contact hold.
 
I finished this one today. I had issues with this build for a number of reasons but this is the finished blade. It feels good in hand and the Alabama damascus took a super sharp edge.

I really like it, Can I see how you finish the pommel area?
