Mesquite and Brass Trailing Point Hunter

Here is number 30, and this trailing point hunter is as close to perfect as I’ve been able to get so far. There is still room for improvement, particularly with the gaps between the spacers. I had some serious issues with JB weld bonding that I was surprised to encounter. Anyway, IMHO the combination of the brass and mesquite (yeah, that’s mesquite!) really works for this style.

There are some gray lines showing at the top of the spacer material, which kept coming apart as I shaped the guard. PArtly heat was the culprit, but like I mentioned, I was having bonding problems with the JB weld and brass even at normal temps. Not sure what the issue was, but in any case I learned a few things to do different next time, which is half the point. Thanks for the comments guys
