I've been a fan of Mike Williams, ABS Master Smith, and his knives for years, especially his Bowie style knives. Having had several discussions with Mike about his hunting adventures out here in Colorado, it was clear to me that he thoroughly understood what was important about knives for the hunter and outdoorsman. So, this year at the Arkansas Knifemakers' Association show in Little Rock, I was able to snag one of his nice hunters. This one is a using knife for me. He calls it a Ouachita hunter - after the river and the tribe (also known as the Caddo tribe). Tip 'o the hat to Mike as well for right pricing. Anyone wanting a nice-but-not-fancy custom hand-made hunter/utility belt knife with a good serviceable sheath would be tempted by one of these.
