mill lathe combo question

I just bought a smithy lathe drill mill combo and was wondering does any one know anything about this machine. It is in pretty good shape and every thing on it works but didnt come with any collets and was wondering how you tell which collet size to buy. Only paid 150.00 for it.

OK....Don't laugh,

You might check to see if there's any info on line from the manufacturer first. If not, stick your finger up into the quill and see if it's a taper or not. If it's a taper and took your whole finger, it's probably MT3. If it only took your finger to the knuckle, it's probably MT2. If it's not a taper, it's probably R8. This high tech identification process was shown to me by a freind who's owned a machine shop since the 50's, he never measures anything.
