Morland's KITH WIP

Okay, I am going with the little edc knife. I cleaned up the finger guard. Made it a bit thinner. Also ground off the scale and flattened it.. For a finished knife it will either be Blackwood bolster with tiger maple or brass bolster with mango. Definitely a hamon and a bolster. Possibly some filing on the spine. Maybe a hidden lanyard. Moving forward.

Most excellent!
Hidden lanyards are nice, I keep saying I'm going to try one but never get around to it.

Cut some holes after getting the handle all laid out. I will toss in a hidden lanyard hole just in case.

I woke up this morning with the intent to move this little knife forward. On inspection I noticed that I screwed up the jimping last night. You can see it right in the middle where the checkering file would overlap when cutting. An ugly double cut. I do not think this knife is worthy of the KITH. I will finish it and see where it goes but I have my doubts.

Luckily, I had started another little knife. Always have a back up plan. It is a drop point instead of a clip point. And the handle is set up differently. But, it is still fairly close. Ahh, the pains of knife making.

Oh yeah. Been there done that.

Still looks like a great knife though.
