Thanks to the tutorial and advice from my friend John Cohea I have completed my first rawhide sheath. This was a request from my first customer :D 2thumbs :D . And a big thanks to DCknives for letting me dig some veg-tanned from the scrap bin !

-Rawhide over veg-tan with buckskin chevron and fringe
-Brass beads, tacks, and cones with horse hair.
-Coyote tooth on chevron (filed groove, buckskin thong tied and wrapped over with artificial sinew)
-Artificial sinew and double whipstitched throughout.
-2 1/2" rawhide belt loop.

I did make an obvious mistake on this sheath. I cut my rawhide flap wider than the sheath body so it could be stitched into the welt seam, but I didn't take into account for the width of the welt so it was too short to be stitched along the sides .

By the time I realized this it was already glued and stitched to the veg-tan so I improvised and trimmed the flap to the body width and secured it with glue and tacks :( . The fix is decent enough to seem as though it was the original plan but it's a mistake I don't plan on making again.

All comments and critisizms welcome
