Neck knife with a leather handle scales

Thought I'd post a Neck knife I made from old Nickleson File.
I did an experiment with some 8-10 ounce leather and made some scales. I used Gorilla Glue and layered 3 pieces together . I then wrapped & clamped the leather between two two boards . I let it set for over 24 hours. When I unwrapped the leather it was almost as stiff as micarta but had a little flex to it> So I decided to give it a try and I am happy with the results !
Has anyone else tried this before and what were the results ?

Looks nice. No I haven't tried it. I have some 14 once veg-tan. I will give it a go on one of my next projects.

Looks good.

I'm having some 5/16-3/8 thick sole bends stabilized.
Been wanting to try leather scales for about a year now. I may be disapointed after grinding on them, there isn't much going on in leather. I'll post up with the results.
