this one is from 1095 and some very nice quilted cream maple that i got from good ol' USAKnifemaker.com. i think the wood looks great. the poor pics don't really do it justice. there is much more figuring going on than you can see from the pics. i made the handle completely smooth and very rounded. think single action revolver grip. feels very nice in hand. wanted to make this one simple and clean with good lines.

Nice design and good work.... Now, tell us what finish you did to that 1095 to get that unique finish.

that is an acid etched finish i use quite a bit. we call it the Crime Scene pattern. multi-layer etching with a resist.

OK, I can see the way you might have did the resist and etching now. Thanks for the info - sure is unique.
