To elaborate on what Keith noted,
Your new knife has a nice flow along the top of blade & handle with a semi-circle and the slight drop point of the blade would work for slashing cuts. The handle bottom shows promise also with a bit more refinement of shape to create a fighter/Bush pattern of a overall unique, usable and recognizable design.
