New little light box

Ordered a small light box to take pics of my knives. 18 bucks on Amazon works pretty good. Wish I had bought a little bigger though. But worth what I spent. Here's a pic with about 10 min worth of setup including opening the box and putting it together. This is gonna be FUN!! IMG_20171024_37334.jpg
 
What are you using for light? That pic seems kind of dark.

I'm asking because my pics are horrible, I need to figure out how to take better pics.
 
It came with 2 LED LIGHT bars in it you need to hook to a power supply. The thing is all self contained. It also colapses and packs into a little bag that comes with the set, it also comes with 2 back drops a white and black. I would get a bigger one if I was to do it over. But for now this will work better than just my phone. 60 bucks you can get a fantastic setup. And like I said this is the first pic I took with no setup or prior experience. I think with a little more playing it will work better?

Here is the differance. First pic is on the counter and second is with light box. No pun intended but like night and day!

You can go to the craft store and get white foam board, too. Now that you have lights you can play around all sorts of ways. Use colored cloth as a drape and the light tent as your stand. Try all sorts of things.
