I'm sitting here in S. Cal. Came upon an add in a woodworking magazine about making your own kitchen knives (adding the handles) and checked it out. That was back in early July and have been reading everything I can about knife making since. I've purchased two different knife kits, one fixed blade and one folder. Both turned out "not to bad". Hope to start my first stock removal project soon. Don't have too many metal tools so it will be saws and files to start with.
Anyway, after reading some posts here it seems to be a great place for advice and just plain good reading and learning.
