NWG Build

I'll get one. Why worry, you will see the whole thing in a little over a month. I'm looking forward to it. BTW, are you and Stabber blown or washed away yet. Watching the news down here it looks like you may be "out to sea".

My house was built in 1898 and I have water perking up in the cellar. HEHEHEHEHE!!!
The pic would help me because, I am build'g the NWG for a door prize for the April HI.2thumbs

I make the rotating arm out of a piece of 1/2" X 2" bar stock and taper/round over the end with with the 2" wheel down to about 1". I think that it is an easier way to do it and less material, unless you have the scrap lying around and the way to cut it to get that good looking profile. Yours sure looks neat.

This steel plate is just raw structural iron, it was cut from a masonry lintel that measured 6"x15'x3/8" thick, it also had nelson studs welded to it but I just cut those off with a grinder. We have a LOT of construction material laying around at the old mans farm, we were both superintendents for a large commercial construction company before the economy went south, and we would horde everything left over from jobs, one of the perks, and free is cheap.

As far as cutting this one, I went through about 3 cut off wheels on my 4.5" angle grinder and then cleaned the edges with a grinding disk... it aint purty but it works!

I did make a model of this using cardboard before I ever thought about cutting out this one from the steel plate... made things a bit simpler.
